Well at least eventually you'll get to remember the password ....

Good metal choices, I was impressed by Saliva's singer wearing a WHITE shirt, I repeat a WHITE shirt.
After watching all those clips I was sure that metal bands never wear anything in white color....

She and her sister took dancing lessons (dad was a doctor and he could afford it) and Beth wanted to teach me every dance she knew. So yeah. It was a great night for me.

And whoever the DJ was, he was obviously a huge Beach Boys fan, because he played every hit the Boys had ever had. And in the process (partly because I was dancing with The Girl Of My Dreams) he made me a Beach Boys fan for life.
That's too sweet for a "Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame" thread, another marvelous post of yours to describe the truth of coincidental preferences in music.
And you were lucky that this DJ guide your taste to a RnR band ...

Yes that was 'too sweet' wasn't it? even though 'Beth' was a really pretty blonde girl, as i've seen from Moon's high school yearbook....but knowing that now Moon prefers a dark-haired girl way more than blondes

ALWAYS enjoy listening to the Beach Boys, those amazing vocal harmonies are totally the best that I have ever heard. TY for that 'favicon' series sweetie <3

ya Amethyste so true, a white shirt is NOT usually in metal artist's wardrobe lol....

'you've gotta fight for your right to paaaaaartay!' those guys are like Clueless and Butthead but that song is my favorite drum & bass tempo for dancing

"Can't Stop", nice pick! *scratches that one off of my list*

more metal...'M' for Metal x3....starting with one of my all time favorite bands of any music genre. MOON YOU GET FULL CREDIT FOR MAKING ME THINK OF THIS SONG TITLE and no white shirts here....

"Light" metal, but heavy-hitting nonetheless. Rock on dear.

Here's an extended sampling of "Southern" (Rock) Jam, just because. I live there. And it's a damn fine place to be.

@MoonRide*r* I liked your Lynyrd Skynyrd pick and I had never heard of Molly Hatchet, so I thank you about the latter sir.
Yes I believe Sabbath can be called the "grandfathers" of metal, and frankly your post made me listen to the original

Lynyrd Skynyrd! <3 and I've seen Gov't Mule live and they are totally awesome.

Amethyste thank you, and guys that's a great mix of different rhythms in those 6 songs, and Amethyste, Little Green Bag i've never heard before and it is such an interesting song, so unique, was a real experience listening to that one!

mkay so from metal (my 'adult' roots) to.......well when you're a teen or pre-teen girl, almost every 'great' song has to be a dance song and that's where we are right now remembering some songs that were really popular with me and my crew in the mid 90's.

I already listed one song originally performed by La Bouche but that was a cover by No Mercy, and so this is a first for LB

Man that was great! ... made my whole day. .. Maybe the writers were not lyricizing about a "little green bag", but watching that video... how could I think otherwise? What I'm referring to (if you need the hint) is 1:38, 2:08... Heh. Roll 'em dude. And don't bogart.

Ok, so getting back to Black Sabbath (and me being an idiot)...

A few posts up, I commented, "Light (Metal)..."
And I later added (offline), "I don't listen to Heavy Metal."
    She quipped; "Yeah? Judas Priest."
I replied, "Huh? No. Judas Priest is Hard Rock, not Metal."
She laughed. "They're right up there with Black Sabbath and Metallica."

Soooo I don't know as much about music as I thought I did. Apparently I do like mainstream Heavy Metal. I'm just not the grunge-y thrash-y sludge-y type.

Now playing: My favorite Hard-Heavy-Rock-Metal band. With (still on theme) some BAD-*** GUITAR movements sprinkled throughout.
I recommend viewing in Theater mode, if not Full-screen.

Yes you're right but we all have in our minds the impression that Sabbath were the beginners of this particular genre.
