Many singers from Ara Music (Bulgaria) have made covers of Shpat. At least for "Do te fal nja rruze" , "Pa ty s'jetoj" and "Mos me prit" I'm sure. From Albania Anila Mimani sang the song of our singer Gergana "Gubja te bavno" as "E ta dish" and I know for some others too.So Albania and Bulgaria mutually sing each-other's songs Nothing bad in my opinion
Is Mirsa Kerqeli a popular singer too? I saw many ppl have watched her videos at youtube.

The "e ta dish" song is very popular. I know many Albanians who have used that song as their wedding song! I think this is true for most countries in the Balkans, they copy each others music. Even from Turkish songs and Arabic songs. I do not think this is a bad thing though, because people get to appreciate the song in a language they can understand. I think it should be done legally though and professionally, so the singer is aware their song is being taken : ) But yes i agree with you it is nice : )

I am not sure if Mirsa Kerqeli is popular, I've heard of her, I don't listen to her much. The most popular singers for "pop" i think would be men: shpat kasapi, adrian gaxha, meda, bertan asllani, nrg band, blero, labi. women: leonora jakupi, leonora poloska, adelina and zanfina, nora istrefi, elvana gjata, genta.

Singers differ in genres, since there are so many genres with Albanian music. Before "popullore" (such as songs that poni sings, which is referred to as turbo folk ( i think this is popular in bulgaria also) so music or folk songs were more popular than pop, but then younger singers began to be highly influenced from the western world and started incorporating these styles into their music. I do not think this is a negative thing, it has helped them prosper a lot.

This is just my opinion though One thing that is smart that Albania does, is when there is contests such as "eurovision" or other contests only in albania, they try to get new and upcoming singers to participate (such as olta boka) i think this is very wise, because it broadens the spectrum for singers and strengthens the music industry as more people will get a chance to listen to newer artists over and over again, instead of just listening to the same popular singers.

Aren't u an Albanian in fact? From what u've just written I think ur not living in Albania, I don't know
Yep, that thing from Albania is good, this year they gave a chance to a young girl too but I prefer Olta Zemrėn e lamė peng was the first song in Albanian I heard and the first word I learned was that zemėr is heart
Turbofolk (or chalga) is popular in Bulgaria too But the lyrics sometimes are very vulgar, while in the Albanian ones I don't see such thing.

Hmm new songs to translate are coming these days I heard the song "Vetės" of Elvana Gjata and this evening I heard some others and hmmm..that girl has damn good songs
So I saw in the list that Vetės and Mamės are translated and I'll beg for another ones I liked:

    Nushu ime
A e din sa xhan te kam une ty, nushu ime
dua dhe nje cast te perqafoj, arushin tim
ne keto duar vetem shpirtin ndjej
ne nje cast te me genjesh ti, jeta ime
per te fundit here ti ta degjosh
    je baby im

    (refreni)
    Ti jepme vetem nje cast
    mbylli syte per nje cast
harro nje cast bej sikur sme ke njohur kurre
nga motivet qe ke, dashuria qe je
jeto nje cast dhe mos mendo se do jem une
    jepme vetem nje cast
    mbylli syte per nje cast
per nje cast mos te me njohesh ti
    mbylli syte per nje cast
    degjome vetem nje cast
harrohem shpejt per nje cast, e di

A e din sa xhan te kam une ty, nushu ime
dua dhe nje cast te perqafoj, arushin tim
ne keto duar vetem shpirtin ndjej
ne nje cast te me genjesh ti, jeta ime
per te fundit here ti ta degjosh
    je baby im

    Vetėm zoti e di

Sa te dua kurr nuk ta kam then
sa te dua vetem Zoti ta di
sa te dua kurr nuk do ta them
sa te dua jo nuk e di

O jeta ime o shpirti im
o ndjenja ime te dua ty

Balkaneuro, faleminderit for your explanation of that video)

And another song, if you don't mind)

Korab Shaqiri - banesa e vogel

    Ku ta fshehim sonte dashurinė
    buzėn ta shijoj
    m'thuaj n'cilin vend
    se po mė cmend

    Puthja jote kėmbėt mi ngatėroj
vec fustani yt le tė mė mbuloj
    tė na mbuloj

Ti kam sjell unė njėmijė puthje
njėmijė puthje vetėm pėr njė natė
    unė ti kam sjell dhuratė
    ty moj gjan

    Ref. (2x)
    E vogėl kjo banesė
    njė libėr me kujtime
    flen qika pa mbulesė
    capkėnja zemrės sime
    si endacak njė streh kėrkoj
tė flen me ty zemra ime
me njėmijė puthje do tė zgjoj

E kėrkova fatin gjithė me vrap
kur tė gjeta ty nuk kėrkova prap
    nė asnjė hap

    Puthja jote kėmbėt mi ngatėroj
veq fustani yt le tė mė mbuloj
    tė na mbuloj

Ti kam sjell unė njėmijė puthje
njėmijė puthje vetėm pėr njė natė
    unė ti kam sjell dhuratė
    ty moj gjan

    yeah sorry, feminine and masculine

depends on the words, most likely the last letter of the word states whether it is masculine or feminine for example

    shqiptar = albanian

unė jam shqiptar = i am albanian (male)

unė jam shqiptare = i am albanian (female)

ai ėshtė shqiptar = he is an albanian

ajo ėshtė shqiptare = she is an albanian

ata/ato janė shqiptarė = they are albanians

sytė e ti = his eyes

sytė e saj = her eyes

ai ėshtė i gėzuarė = he is happy

ajo ėshtė e gėzuarė = she is happy

"djal" is a boy, but djaloshi is just like a slang, or "cuter" way of saying it.

Korab Shaqiri - banesa e vogel / small apartment

Ku ta fshehim sonte dashurinė/ where shall we hide our love tonight
buzėn ta shijoj/ so i can savor your lips
m'thuaj n'cilin vend/ tell me in which place
se po mė cmend/ 'cause you are driving me wild

Puthja jote kėmbėt mi ngatėroj/ your kiss messes up my legs
vec fustani yt le tė mė mbuloj/ only let your dress cover me tonight
tė na mbuloj/ let it cover us

Ti kam sjell unė njėmijė puthje/ i have brought you a thousand kisses
njėmijė puthje vetėm pėr njė natė/ a thousand kisses for just one night
unė ti kam sjell dhuratė/ i have brought a gift
ty moj xhan/ for you my dear

    Refren:
E vogėl kjo banesė/ this apartment is small
njė libėr me kujtime/ a book with memories
flen qika pa mbulesė/ the girl sleeps without any covers
capkėnja zemrės sime/ the mischief of my heart
si endacak njė streh kėrkoj/ i look for a bed
tė flen me ty zemra ime/ to sleep by you my sweetheart
me njėmijė puthje do tė zgjoj/ i will wake you up with thousand kisses

E kėrkova fatin gjithė me vrap/ i looked for my destiny quickly
kur tė gjeta ty nuk kėrkova prap/ i didn't ask to go back when i found you
nė asnjė hap/ in any step
