Solved: Rat a tat a tat

Hi, I've had this song going round my head for a while now. I can only vaguely remember it, and I can't remember where I heard it:

It's a sort of soft jazzy dance hall type song, along the lines of what Morecambe and Wise might have sung and danced to (but it might be a lot more recent than that).

It has someone singing a line softly (perhaps in a French accent), and then at the end of each line, someone else goes "a rat a tat a tat" or something like that. I'm sure it's sung in English but it has a sort of French feel to it, if that means anything.
