Who knows a makedonian song which is good for performing with acoustic guitar/voice?
Is there a Youtube link so I can listen to it + words of that song needed!

    Hi!

I can suggest several, but to find the right one please be a little more specific about what genre you want and what is the occasion?

Are you playing on stage or for friends in a gathering? :-)

    Best,
    M

    Amaryn, try these:

    Vlado Janevski - Crno Tikvesko
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hs3aRqxo70

Tose Proeski - Zajdi, zajdi jasno sonce (folk song)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKRaXPYSzKY

Kuku Lele - Me kanat na svadba
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3yVXa4sGkQ

Karolina Goceva - Za kogo? (I recomend the whole album "Makedonsko devojce")
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nY-o-IDuzUc

Dule & Koki - Zaludno e da se napijam
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cr6Ere3VLbA

    and many many more...
The songs in the links are not only with guitar, but would sound perfect with acoustic guitar only.
Keep in mind, that original balkan's music is very rich and very complex. It's not easy to perform it...I wish you good luck! Onnea!

Hello Milka! We haven't met on this Forum yet, but I know you're very active! I am a troubadour, play acoustic guitar, sing and compose in many languages.
Sing songs in one of akedonias neighbourlanguages: Greek, sing also in Russian, Polish, Slovakian
and now I would like to add a few songs from Makedonia. I sing in all kinds of parties, congresses, festivals. If that gives you an idea?

    Original lyrics in cyrillic:

    Лилјано, моме убаво
    (група "Чардак")

    Лилјано, моме убаво,
    Лилјано, пиле шарено,
    уште ли мома ке одиш,
    уште ли светот ке гориш.

    На стари баби - внучиња,
    на млади моми - момчиња.
    Жена и деца оставам,
    тебе Лилјано да земам.

    Немој, Лилјано, не чини,
    не оставај рана на срце.
Цел век јас ке ти слугувам,
    тебе Лилјано да земам.

    Latin transcription:

    Liljano, mome ubavo
    (Grupa "Chardak")

    Liljano, mome ubavo,
    Liljano, pile shareno,
    ushte li moma ke odish,
    ushte li svetot ke gorish.

    Na stari babi - vnuchinja,
    na mladi momi - momchinja.
    Zhena i deca ostavam,
    tebe Liljano da zemam.

    Nemoj, Liljano, ne chini,
    ne ostavaj rana na srce.
Cel vek jas ke ti sluguvam,
    tebe Liljano da zemam.

    English translation:

    Liljana, you pretty maid
    (Group "Chardak")

    Liljana, you pretty maid
    Liljana, you colorfull bird
Do you still be a maid?
Do you still burn the world [around you].

To old grandmothers - their grandchildren
    To young maids - lads.
I will leave my wife and children
and will take you to wife, Lilyana

    Don't, Liljana, don't do it
Don't leave a wound to my heart
I'll be your servant for a whole century
For taking you to wife, Liljana.

    Hi again amaryn!

Belatedly, I am answering your request, and hope you do not mind. I will suggest few now and will continue to add more songs in the future.

    1.
If you play at parties, I would include few songs that are more rhythmic and singing-like. A well known Macedonian song which is translated in few neighboring languages and widely sung is Fato mori Dushmanke (Фато мори душманке).

Here is a more "jazzy" version in Romanian/Serbian:
