Exam Stress

This was a fun rap I wrote a few months ago while revising for exams. Let me know what you think x


Verse 1:

Exams round the corner, Stress on my shoulders
So much responsibility but still none the bolder.
Procrastinating seemd the doctor's order.
2 in the morn I finally open my work folder.
Quickly start to type but my hands are gettin colder
Fear grippin me tight as the deadline approaches closer,
Pale sunken eyes even though Im sober,
I started my assignment 2 late and I werent supposed ta

Parents on my back expectin me 2 deliver,
Look at the clock and see my chances gettin slimmer,
Switch on the heating yet still I shiver,
The thought of failure making me quiver.
And I dont wanna walk out full of regret,
Look back at reflect why I didnt revise the text,
While parents look at me vexed, confused and perplexed

Verse 2:

Now Im Lookin dazed cause sleep gone out the window,
Flickin through each page tryna speak the book lingo,
Reminiscin back to the days of high school,
When I coulda got away with handin a sick note.
Mind seriously messed up like Vimto,
Tryna write up this essay about lymph nodes.
Told myself I had plenty of time,
But 2 hours later Im still stuck on the third line.
So I look to the heavens tryna stay composed,
But never really mastered the art of writin in prose,
Instead I just shudder from my head to my toes,
As the tension inside grows and overflows.
And why do my parents have to constantly compare,
keep tellin me I gotta try harder next year,
just cause my cousin got all As in his first year.
This aint family fortunes but they dont seem to care.

Wow man I actually really enjoyed this. I portrayed it with pretty good flow and a sweet beat in my head, It may be different than you how you did it, but none the less I really like it. How long have you been writing? And keep it up man!
