    Default Piiz- 3 songs

I'm trying to shorten the 3-page request list I'm preparing for Milena.
Piiz's Babam Sağ olsun was so good, so I'm hopeful about their lyrics. If these lyrics are awful, lie and make them very profound, please.

    Tatlı Uykular

    Senden bir nefes yeter canıma
    Bir özür yeterki gururuma
    Sırt dönmek çok kolay anlasana
    Alışmak zor gelir gururuma
    Son diyip gidişin
    Kendi ipini çekmişliğin
    Masum ayrılıklar masallarda yaşanmış
    Tatlı uykular sensiz rafa kalkmış
    Önce sesler sonra yüzün
    Eşlik etti yollarıma hergün
    Bir gün eksik birgün fazla
    Ömür biter gün doğsada hergün
    Önce sesler sonra yüzün
    Zehir oldu düşledikçe hergün
    Biraz Sensiz biraz bensiz
    Ömür biter gün doğsada hergün
    Son diyip gidişin
    Kendi ipini çekmişliğin
    Düşleri kaybetmişim!

    HADİ DENİZİM

SEN BENİM HERŞEYİM GÖNLÜNCE OLSUN HERŞEYİN
    BİR YANDAN KAMÇI KOPAR
    VUR VURABİLDİĞİN KADAR
    DURDURMAK NE MÜMKÜN ZAMANI
    SÖYLE YARİM BU KAÇINCI ACI
    USLAN DENİZİM

    GÖZLERİNDE AYNI KARA
    SÖZLERİNDE AYNI YARA

DEM OLUP GAM TUTUP GELDİM BEN BU YAŞA
İSYANIM VAR BİLİRİM FELEĞİN TEKERİNDEN GEÇTİM
AYNI GÜCE AYNI YÜREK YETMİYOR ÖĞRENDİM
    HADİ DENİZİM USLAN DENİZİM

    KURTAR BENİ KUTSAR GİBİ
NİYETİMDEN VAZ GEÇER GİBİ KELEBEK ÖMRÜNE YAS TUTAR GİBİ (2)
GÖZLERİNDE SEN VARAR GİBİ KURTAR BENİ

    Müdür*

    Sermayesi olduk bu ninninin
    Ortağı olduk dönen çemberin
    Tabağı olduk değişmez kaderin
    İçinden çıkmanın bi yolu yokmu?
    Maması olduk dökülen defterin
    Manası yok verilen sözlerin
    Babasını bulduk annesi kahpenin
    Uğursuz hırsızın allahı yok mu?

    Kurudu soyun oyun yok artık
Kalmadı kimse müdür bu al buna konuş, al sen buna konuş
    Kurudu soyun oyun yok artık
Kalmadı kimse müdür bu al buna konuş, nah sen buna konuş

    Uğruna öldük nedensiz hiçlerin
    Şeklini bozduk kurumuş piçlerin
    Derdine düştük takkenin peçenin
İzini yedik bu bokun bağı yokmu?
    zamanla soldu geçmişi hepsinin
    Ezildik biz altında bu seslerin
    Nedenini sorduk cepteki servetin
Emeğimi çalanın hiç suçu yok mu?

    Default Tatlı Uykular

Tatlı Uykular (*From the phrase 'tatlı rüyalar' which means 'sweet dreams' )
    Sweet Sleeps

    Senden bir nefes yeter canıma
One breath from you is enough for (the sake of) my life
    Bir özür yeterki gururuma
One apology is enough for my pride
    Sırt dönmek çok kolay anlasana
It's so easy to turn my back (on my pride) please understand
    Alışmak zor gelir gururuma
It'll be too hard for my pride to get used to it (or 'for me to get used to my pride')
    Son diyip gidişin
The way you said 'the end' and left
    Kendi ipini çekmişliğin
The way you'd pulled your own strings
    Masum ayrılıklar masallarda yaşanmış
Innocent seperations were lived in fairy tales
    Tatlı uykular sensiz rafa kalkmış
Sweet sleeps were shelved without you
    Önce sesler sonra yüzün
First, the sounds, then, your face
    Eşlik etti yollarıma hergün
Accompanied me on my journey everyday
    Bir gün eksik birgün fazla
A day too early, a day too late (literally 'one day is missing, one day is surplus')
    Ömür biter gün doğsada hergün
Life comes to an end, even though a new day is born everyday
    Önce sesler sonra yüzün
First, the sounds, then, your face
    Zehir oldu düşledikçe hergün
Became a poison as I kept dreaming (actually not dreaming, rüya: dream, while düş: illusion, fiction, düşlemek: seeing fictitious pictures in your head)
    Biraz Sensiz biraz bensiz
A little bit without me, a little bit without you
    Ömür biter gün doğsada hergün
Life comes to an end, even though a new day is born everyday
    Son diyip gidişin
The way you said 'the end' and left
    Kendi ipini çekmişliğin
The way you'd pulled your own strings
    Düşleri kaybetmişim!
    Seems, I've lost the illusions

Thank you so much. Once again, amazing.

I have a few questions, if you don't mind.

    From Müdür:

These two lines are slightly Hasekyish in that I don't really understand.
If you do, can you fill me in?

I'm asking about what should be obvious, but I just wanted to check...using "buna" for him...is this a way to insult him, i.e. to make him a thing and not a person?

Do you get the impression that this is a song about authority, in general, or a particular individual?

    From Hadi Denizim:

There are two different versions of this song...on the album version I think he says "gözlerinde seni arar gibi..." but I'm not sure about the other one...it sounded like 'sen varar' but I maybe that has no meaning. too

No question, just I really love this line and how you translated it. So I thought it should be reprinted.

I'm not sure I get this one either.

    Rica ederim kankam

Well, I did the translation part and left the interpreting for you

No seriously.. I'm not sure what those those two lines you quoted from Müdür are supposed to mean either, they are just too cryptic

You got it right, saying 'bu' instead of 'o' to someone generally sounds demeaning.
And yes, I think its so obvious that its about authorities

Gözlerinde seni arar gibi: As if (I'm) searching for you in your eyes
Oh that makes sooo much more sense than sen varar! cause yea, it just has no meaning..

    Alternative translation:
Without you, sweet sleeps were laid aside.. interpret it yourself

    Let me interpret these

    - I guess here ' tabak' means the food. because we say ' tabağını bitir which means finish ur plate (food in the plate) .
Maması olduk dökülen( , )( how inexistence of a comma changes the meaning ) defterin** DÖKÜLEN MAMASI OLDUK DEFTERİN
We've become the SPILLING (baby) food of notebook ( BUT WHICH NOTEBOOK ) sometimes we use 'defter' instead of fate but i m not sure here if it means so.. :/

No one is left, this is the director, go and talk to him (actually they say: 'this' about him), you go and talk to him
-I dont know if i m right but we again say sometimes when we dont care the speech of someone we say ' buna konuş ' by showing our A. S . S . so may be he means that he doesnt care the director . rude ehh?

    - I m sure about this at least 'rafa kalkmak or birşeyi rafa kaldırmak ( put something on the shelf ) means to postpone something to do later.. So in that case it means i postpone having sweet sleeps without you. ( so romantic )

    Thank you, Kind Upper Member.
I don't know the reason, but somehow PlainChaos has this crazy idea that I should/can think for myself. That makes my head hurt...so you saved me!

This is what I was thinking: We "fed" the unchangeable fate, i.e. it was using us, we were victims of it, etc...

I think my only hope to understand this line will be if I can ask the lyricist someday.

Now I remember this phrase "to shelf something"...I didn't think of that before.

Thank you again PlainChaos (with her crazy ideas) and Berrytr (with her crazy ideas too!).

Duh of course you can think for yourself, ya clever And besides, those lines aren't in any way part of some Turkish idiom or proverb or anything that should make it difficult for foreigners to understand or interpret

..whoever wrote those lines was just on coke when he wrote them
    Nah j/k, I just didn't wanna admit I'm lazy
