Default Deja Vu - İşkenceci Sevgilim/Nereye Be Güzelim

Pleeeeeeeeeease I really neeeeeeeeed theeeeeeeeeese. I have a research paper on Deja Vu lyrics and it's due tomorrow.

Kidding...Just if any one gets a chance

    İşkenceci Sevgilim

    Daraldım, yoruldum limitsiz kaprislerden
    Usandım, tükendim iğneli boş sözlerden
Acı verdin, kaçıverdin bil ki yok cennetin
Kalbimi çaldın, beni hırpaladın, Allah seni kahretmesin

İşkenceci sevgilim, sen hiç mutlu olmaz mısın ?
Benim nankör sevgilim yalvarsam kalmaz mısın ?

    Delirdim, kudurdum dengesiz gelgitlerden
    Kırıldım, gücendim ağlatan zor sözlerden
Çok acı verdin, hep kaçıverdin sona geldim dinletemedim
Kalbimi çaldın, beni hırpaladın, Allah seni kahretmesin

    Nereye Be Güzelim

Küsmüş güneş hiç doğmuyor solmuş senin tüm renklerin
Mutsuz kara bir gökyüzü anlatır halini boş zevklerin
    İnsanlığını kaybettin azıcık ol medeni
    Gerçekleri unuttun vardır elbet nedeni
    Kaçtın gittin, nereye be güzelim!
Ölesiye hüsran artık sus lan arkana yaslan çabucak uslan
Hatıralar sahte ve yalan dermanın yok yorgun insan
Sen ölüyorsun, boşluğun içinde deliriyorsun mucize beklerken

Küsmüş yağmur hiç yağmıyor şanssız senin tüm renklerin
Üzgün garip bir gökyüzü anlatır halini boş zevklerin

    Alemin kaybedeni
    Azıcık ol medeni
    Alemin kaybedeni
    Harcadın bu medeni..

Okay, class settle down. Yes I pick Milena to translate My Torturer Darling as she seems to be in an Arabesk/Torturer mood. Maybe he's singing about Sıla.

    This is awesome.
I want to remember these lines and quote them often.

I'm not sure which label I would like to pick...
    For you: İşkenceci sevgilim
    For me: Nankör sevgilim

    This is so good! 감사합니다

But what about my other requested song? Please, I've been waiting for almost forever...2 hours at least!!!
Know that there will be no heaven for any of you if I don't get this song translated!

Ermm, he was speaking Bosno-Turkish. It means "You wasted this honey- type thing." (med= honey, medeni = honey as ajdective)

Well, actually I am sure it is bedeni. I should have checked.

    Thank you so much.
I got 100% on my research paper, all because of you!

    Not hesitating...

Actually in a lot of songs, the word renkler/renklerin is used sort of like an idiom and a little hard for me to understand the exact meaning...

Quote Originally Posted by Milena View Post

Is this basically saying 'everything about you is unlucky'?

I like this line a lot too. Alemin kaybedeni- is this meaning you're loser of the world cos you lost the world?
or like you are a loser (like insult "fool, good for nothing" ?boş adamsın? ?başarısız? )?

Thank you so much. I'm blushing honestly, even though my words describing my taste and the labels I have permanently chosen for us were jokes.

I think so, you're better than me at interpretation but it might also be referring to colours of rainbow too, maybe? (since he mentions rain.)

I think it's not a real insult, it means something like "you lost your chances in life". I think.
Thank you so much for clarifying. I always appreciate your willingness to do that. And now, I believe someone has some new threads to close.

*** P.S. I think you're trying to be nice, but only you (and maybe Berrytr) have the best chance to know Guess the Song. Don't be shy. Show 'em what you know.

    Got it. Thanks.
I guess I was thinking that it would be same as hatırlamak...don't you say hatırla beni. ?

Like I said, maybe I am starting to understand more Turkish, but it is still a disaster if you want me to speak it with my own sentences or phrases.

But really, I'm not sure what this means..."horns of a dilemma"... If you want to explain privately, that's okay.

    Nice line. Good idiom usage.

Thank you Milena...this was a very welcome and unexpected gift.

And I am smiling at the lines Viva chose from our new theme song...I liked the ones that were much less "sweet" and much more "ridiculous."
And I'm not trying to be nankör...no thank you again. Grrrrrr!

I've read it before but never really understood it. Wow, you're my English teacher, too! So that's basically what his horrible, vulgar, disturbing, ugly, explicit lyrics were saying?

Viva, leave the bitterness to zalim Parti, Mila, and Hayko. You stay sweet, okay, Love?
