Thumbs up Venetian song translation needed

Orchestra populare di Venezia sings a song called El Gondolier:
    Mi so el gondolier
    che in gondola te ninoa.....

I need a translation of this song into English
The song is partly in Venetian dialect, I think.

    Mille Grazie

Notte de luna, notte piena de stele,/ full moon night, starry night
vado in laguna e vogo e vogio cantar./ I go to the lagoon I row and i wanna sing

Mi so el gondolier/ I am the gondolier
che in gondola te ninòa,/ who lulls you in gondola
se el remo in forcòla sigòa,/ if the oar creaks in the rowlock
coverze el scìoco dei basi./ it covers the smack of kisses

Mi so el gondolier/ i am the gondolier
che ancora in mar ve dondola,/ still cradling you in the sea
no ste a curarve de mì,/ don't mind me
mi fasso andar la gondola./ I just drive the gondola

    Pope… Oeh!, pope… oeh!,
    gondola gondola va!

El tempo passa e 'l sol/ time flies and the sun
già spunta a levante,/ is already rising at east
torno in cavana e vogo/ I go back to the "cavana"(a shelter, a sort of garage for boats) and i row
    e vogio cantar./ and i wanna sing

    Pope… Oeh!, pope… oeh!,
    gondola gondola va!

"-Please tell me you're going to appeal to my humanity..."
"-Actually, I'm planning to threaten you."

"Well, if you'll excuse me, I have work to do. Evil plots don't just make themselves, you know!"
