    Post Ice Hall

    Snow falls all around me,
    Driving past our slow beats.
    Coldness creeps into these seats
and silences the heat within these sheets.

Nowhere calls that wait for me.
    Waking never days it seems.
    Sapphire eyes with crimson see
    an infinite ice hall symphony.

Running on ice to find you
    Slipping along the way.
Running to believe in love again.
    Running to stay in place.

It's still cold as you hold me.
    Unsure of life and fate.
I'd do anything to light that fire again, baby
    Like we used to be.

Nowhere calls that wait for me.
    Waking never days it seems.
    This reaccuring dream of reality
of ice and of music cover me.

Running on ice to find you
    Slipping along the way.
Running to believe in love again.
    Running to stay in place.

Why can't we work this out darling?
    Our home is right here.
You won't fall through the cracks darling,
    Stay right here
    Stay right here
    With me.

I ran on ice to find you
    I ran into your arms
I ran to believe in love again
I ran to find my place

    With you

Well in my critiques I usually look at the message more than the mechanics, but I think you write really well too. There are lots of little phrases that I love in this one, and mostly the way your words pull back and forth between dream and reality, or futility, something-but-nothing, a perpetual limbo, like "running to stay in place" and "waking never days". All in all I really enjoy reading your stuff, so please keep it coming

I'm glad you noticed the limbo...the opposites within the verses. It really describes the song as well as holds its lyrics. I really wanted it to have that feel that things are always back and forth in this mini wold. the musical composition to this song is the same. The notes go back and forth repeating.

You have a composition for this already? Is it anywhere that it can be viewed? I loved this very much so, I would like to know how the music would go along with it.

Me too, especially if the music suits the pattern of the lyrics, I think it would be a very interesting song.

I am an enormous fan of classical and am in love with the piano. Naturally, I loved it far more than I believed I would. You have a beautiful voice as well. When did you learn how to play? You have a song for sure and I want to hear the finished product once all the touches are put to it. Excellent indeed. Domo arigato, tomodachi!
