    But nothing in his discography, nor any lyrics that'd match.
    Yet I'm positive that he might sing "Let's paint the town in red tonight".

    A huge step forward, thanks!!
    Maybe even a live recording of Rod (since they often tend to do these cover versions in live gigs ONLY)

    It would be a great thing if someone actually knew the singer on my snippet, since I like the production very much (plus, it's not too "bluesy" )

    But no, that's by far not the rough voice on my snippet.
    Remember Billy Joe Royal with "Down In The Boondocks" yeah? His voice is as silky smooth as Peter Noone's (Herman's Hermits). Couldn't be him.
