Estopa / Bossanova: Spanish to English translation

Hi all
As you can see I have translated most of the lyrics, but there are a few things that I cant make sense of.
Anything with -?- or (in between) is where I got stuck.
Suggestions are very welcome, thanks.

Because my answers would be like -bullets?

But if you leave me tonight I will give you (this doesnt make sense to me, should it not be: if you DO NOT leave me tonight or: if you stay with me tonight?)

All my kisses - (all the kisses I have)
Ya sé que siempre digo que empiezo a partir de hoy
I know I always say that I will from now on
Y que luego nunca me atrevo
And later I never -dare? -
Pero si me dejas yo te canto una bossanova
But if you leave me? I sing you a bossanova
Y no te voy a dejar
I will not go and leave you
Ni un minuto sola
not one minute by yourself
Si te dejas llevar como el mar lleva a las olas
If you let go- lose control? - like the sea -leads? the waves
Hasta las rocas
On the rocks

No preguntes por qué huele mi camiseta a pachuli
Dont ask why my shirt smells of patchouly (does patchouly refer to the actual patchouly hippy smell or does it just mean perfume to make it rhyme?)
Ni que ruido de mujeres se escuchaba cuando me llamaste al móvil
Nor why you heard the noises of women -talking? when you called me on my mobile

Que hay tragos que son amargos
There are drinks that are bitter - (some drinks are bitter)
Hasta los del mejor vino
even the best of wines
Unos cortos, otros largos,
some short some long ( I want to rephrase this, short and long doesnt make sense in the context, any ideas?)
Pero todos son dañinos.
But all are harmfull - but they all cause harm.

Here's my try =) :

En la puerta del bar del olvido => parked in front of the bar of oblivion (good)
Estaba de fiesta con los amigos => I was partying with my friends

Que mis respuestas son balas
Para tu corazón herido
=> Because my answers are bullets to your wounded heart

Pero si me dejas esta noche yo te doy
Todos los besos que te debo
=> But if you let me, tonight I give you all the kisses I owe you

Y que luego nunca me atrevo
Pero si me dejas yo te canto una bossanova
=> And then I never dare, but if you let me, I'll sing a bossanova to you

Y no te voy a dejar
Ni un minuto sola
=> And I'm not gonna leave you alone for one minute

Si te dejas llevar como el mar lleva a las olas hasta las rocas
=> If you let yourself get carried away like the sea carries the waves up to the rocks (something like that)

No preguntes por qué huele mi camiseta a pachuli
=> Don't ask why my shirt smells like patchouli (some other girl's perfume I guess)

Ni que ruido de mujeres se escuchaba cuando me llamaste al móvil
=> Nor why you heard the noises of women -talking? when you called me on my mobile (I think it's better if you add the "talking")

Que hay tragos que son amargos
=> For some drinks are bitter

Unos cortos, otros largos
=> I think it's about how long you can taste the wine's flavor after having swallowed it, so I would translate it as "Some have a long finish, others not"

Especially this sentence:

---Pero si me dejas esta noche yo te doy
Todos los besos que te debo
=> But if you let me, tonight I give you all the kisses I owe you---

Makes sense now. Instead of: if you leave me, its meant to be leaving as in: if you leave me to it, or like you say, if you let me.

The part about the wines aftertaste is something I didnt see either.
