That is not not common to say "shotor didi nadidi" in such a situation. As astorias said, it is usually used when you do something wrong in front of your friend and you don't want them share it with anyone, or for some reason you're gonna keep some happening (not some words!) secret from others who haven't been at the scene of the happening.

hahaha.. yeah...when you translate these expressions into English they sound so funny...

Yeah ... we get use to them .
But for the person who do not hear them at all is very funny

I can imagine... in German when someone is very happy we say that "the sun is shining out of his/her butt" and think nothing of it.

Does anyone know an expression used when one sees somebody they feel pity for ... i think it's like 'nasib nashee allah" or close to that? My Pakistani friend's mother was from Iran and it was something she [the mother] used to say. Like 'may it never happen again'?
