MTV 1990s video: black girl dancing wildly on white beach

If you are thinking about Cotton Eye Joe (1994)...
...the intensity is about right but not the style... it was really erotic...

and there was way more sand...
and no cowboys or violins...

As far as I can remember, the girl looked a lot like Alexis Jordan in "Happiness" (age, size, compexion) and had bluejeans on.


Any more suggestions... please ?

Was the person singing the same person as the dancer in the film clip? In the video itself did the young girl also have her father in it & he would not allow her to dance in the beginning of the video? & the lyrics, were they sung in South American, Spanish or similar?

- as far as I remember the dancing girl was also singing.
- I do not remember any other persons around, but I admit I did not see the beginning.
- as far as I remember she sang in English - it was on MTV.

This video is incredibly close to the video I remember...

However I remember the dancing to be more frenetic.
dancing style was and the girl looked and dressed very similar
-- so maybe there is a another similar Mya video?
