    Ok, even the maker of this YouTube video didn't know the song, since he told me that the intro for it was made by a fan of his long time ago. There are only 10 seconds of it at the beginning of the video. Here's the link:

    its the theme tune to "play for today" which was aired on the bbc in the 70's. its on youtube under "bbc play for today intro"

    I've been looking for an answer on the internet for months ..to the point that you could call it obsessive. Too bad the music isn't part of some great 60's song, as I thought it would be. Still, great tune ..as agreed by some of the comments on that YouTube link you mentioned:
