I know part of the lyrics, to a song, it's a male singer.
The words I remember are ' So Here we are, standing...... .....Before it's too late.
Hope someone recognizes the words, I keep trying to remember the rest, I keep singing it in my head, well that part.....

Hi, I thought it was Howie Day, Jason Walker, I'm pretty sure it's a song from Vampire Diaries? It's fairly recent, I think.
