I have listened to this song many times without being able to understand what it refers to!

Most Show of Hands songs refer to current or past events that I can identify, but this one escapes me!

    Thanks in advance!

"Seņor (Tales of Yankee Power)" may have some sort of political meaning, if for no other reason than the title. However, considering Yankee Power was a nuclear power agency protested at the time, "tail of the dragon" refers to achieving criticality, and "iron cross..around her neck" probably references Eisenhower's "Iron Cross" speech concerning the military industrial complex, the song probably concerns the thermonuclear and nuclear age.

Thanks for your help, Mix. I read the Wikipedia article and must admit (a) I didn't know it was a Bob Dylan song, even though I'm a big Dylan fan and (b) I'm still none the wiser!!! Obviously far too deep for me!
