This song played on the radio (at least in Canada) in the late 1960s or early 1970s. I can't find out who recorded it, but I believe it was a group like Laurie Bower or Ray Coniff. Anyone know about this song?
Here comes another day
You can be sure that it's here to stay
Good or bad
I'm just glad
That we're around to enjoy it
We can't avoid it
Here comes another day!
I never mind birthdays
I know they're gonna happen anyway
Let 'em come
One by one
I never envy someone younger
Age is just a number
Who care as long as I can be
What I wanna be
And I wanna be is free
I never really care how old I am
As long as I'm on my feet
Nothing else will it be
As long as we are young
We might as well have fun
But when we're old and decrepit and gray
I still want to feel that way
Here comes another day!
I only hope things will go my way
Will it rain?
Will it pour?
Or will the sun shine brightly?
Who knows what might be?
Here comes another
Here comes another
Here comes another day!
I really wouldn't care if it snowed
If it blowed hot or cold
Let it rain
And if it rains it can pour
For I don't mind clouds that come my way
As long as I can say
Here comes another day
Here comes another day
You can be sure that it's here to stay
Good or bad
I'm just glad
