As far as I know "mecha" is the Spanish word for "wick", the part of a candle or oil lamp that burns. I don't think I've ever heard it used in slang. If it used in slang, I would say that it may be in regards to smoking weed or something similar.

I believe in some countries "mecha" is used as in Cuba they use what would be the equivalent word "candela"
As in the phrase "que le den candela", which basically implies, "give him what he deserves" (in a negative connotation) -
