I heard this song on the radio but don't know the name. It sounds like the Scorpions. The beginning and end have fast distorted guitars. The song stands out because the middle of the song is a very lengthy calm classical guitar solo.
Any ideas?

Call the radio station. Tell them the day and time your heard the song. If you're not sure of the time, tell the radio station that you want to know all of the songs played between the hours that you know the song was played.
Radio stations have to keep a log of all songs played so royalties can be paid to the artists.

Scorpions' No One Like You comes to mind:

The section you mention contains distorted guitar with drums, and is 30 seconds long. In the song I heard, it contained only a classical guitar (no distortion) and went on for several minutes. It sounds like Pink Floyd - Is there anybody out there?

Sadly I don't remember any lyrics
OK, it can be found over here:

Did you hear the song on Saturday June 18th?
If so, about what time?
The radio station must log every song played.

Yep, that was the day I heard it. I was sure it was during the afternoon I checked every song on that list. It's none of them.
It took many hours of searching, but I found it! It is a song by Triumph called Blinding Light Show.

The solo I like runs from 3:18 to 5:38
