Hey Gang, I went back to the Israeli Folk Dance group last night. It's been a while since I was there last.... About a dozen of them are Israelis. Maybe I can finally pick up a little Hebrew, eh?

You know, they tried to teach us when we were young, we weren't interested back then. The problem is that in the USA they teach us with the vowels, in Israel, they don't write the vowels so I can't read Hebrew that way. I recognize some words, but not many.

Shalom Batali! Shabbat is almost here. Shabbat shalom gadol!

Still it's quite a base to start from. Then you can proceed by taking the vowels out in the words you already know

    Shabbat shalom, Steve and Ivrione!!!

Ps. Thanks Rose, one can always count on you and your help! Cool name: Shahar!

Studying Hebrew and Greek is not a learning process but a LIFE MISSION .....
I've been around Greek music books and dictionaries for over 20 years and I still can't form a sentence without making 17 errors.
I haven't seen much from Eva...Hope all is well with you my dear.

    Well said, Batel mou,
But then I'm afraid that I just can't believe your last sentence.
Seriously, noone who knows your passion for the Greek music and language will be able to believe it. I'm sure the proportion is completely different - one error in 18 sentences and only if you have an extreme case of the M factor If I had applied as much passion for the Turkish language i'd be speaking fluently 'n' writing flawlessly now. Alas, my Tukish mission was interrupted by some Persian warriors...LOL

Todah, we're taking him with open hearts and arms! GR8 choice, as usual,!
OMP, talented artistic personalities among the Israeli youth seem limitless! Truly enviable!

Hope to see you soon, kerida mia, next Friday or hopefully earlier, if El, tu padre permits.
May I gently remind you one topic to elaborate on: "family names" (I hope I'm not asking too much, given the fact how busy you are now, however forgive me if I am)

    Kendine iyi çok bak!
    Καληνύχτα και όνειρα γλυκά!
    Παύλος σου

PS. Should you happen to have a vast amount of free time some time in future, would you be able to explain to me why your Idols have developed so many different "i"s?
The same refers to "O"(why the hell they need omega when they also have omikron?)
