All these years I thought T Graham Bell sang it, but......

Every since I was a teenager, i hummed a song every now and then that I thought was sang by some one named T Graham Bell. (Not even sure if that his right name?) Anyways recently, my husband and I were looking up songs on u tube from our teenage years and showing to our kids. To my surprise I couldnt find any mention of this song..

Any suggestions as to who sang this? It was a male, it sounded country, it was maybe from the late 80's or early 90's?
