FWIW, this song is about abuse (treat in a harmful, injurious, or offensive way), not betrayal (infidelity, disloyalty). Big big difference right there...

I see what you mean, but my use of the word betrayal was in the sense that such abuse is the ultimate betrayal of trust.....I was trying to convey a double meaning; the actual abuse and the abuse of trust that goes with it. My first translation was , ' his denial of abuse' - but I felt that there was more meaning to be had.
