Even though I'm afraid that you won't get very far with those lyrics, here are the first four lines, FWIW:

It's a song about kids growing up in-between that unpleasant and filthy "environment" of ghettos and slums (probably talking about hobos too, not sure)
For a starter, it's 100% sure that you can safely exclude British bands, because "sidewalk" is clearly American English. (The British say "pavement")
