Default Aylin Aslım- Böyledir Bu İşler

I'm trying to understand this song...if someone would like to help me, thank you very much.

Kız çok güzeldi // (She was) such a beautiful girl
Beyaz ten,yeşil gözler // White skin, green eyes
Kız çok iyiydi // (She was) such a good girl
Bir erkek daha ne ister? // What more does a man want?

Herşeyi ister // He wants everything
Hepsini ister... // He wants it all

Çocuk çok zekiydi // Such a bright/intelligent child
Parlak, sivri dişler // Bright, sharp teeth
İsmin ne güzel senin // How beautiful your name is
Tanışsak, olsak beraber. // If/I wish we could meet, be together

Artık herşeyim senin // Now everything of me is yours
Hepsini al al al // Take it all...
İsmimi, resmimi hepsini // My name, my picture, everything
Al al al... // Take it

Artık herşeyim benim // Now everything of yours is mine
Hepsini ver ver ver // Give it all
İsmimi, resmimi hepsini // My name, my picture, everything
Gelmişle geçmişimi... // What came and past (My past)

Çocuk aç gözlüydü // ? An open-eyed child
Tatlı,güzel sözler... // Sweet, beautiful words

Bahçen ne güzel senin // How beautiful is your garden
Yaz kış açan güller // ? Summer, winter the flowers are opening
Tatlı güzel sözler... // Sweet beautiful words

Kız bembeyazdı // (she was) a girl, pure white
Beyaz,boş bir sayfa // White, an empty page
Dedi böyledir bu işler // (She) said things are like that
Sana iyi günler!... // Have a good day! (bye)

    Teşekkür ederim

Çocuk aç gözlüydü // The child was greedy

Yaz kış açan güller // Flowers, blooming in summer and winter

Kız bembeyazdı // The girl was pure white
Beyaz,boş bir sayfa // A white, empty page (these two lines don't really have much a difference in the meaning to how you translated it)

    Wow, good translation partizanka.

Or rather "Flowers that bloom in summer and winter"

I should translate lyrics more often, you're getting better than me. No, seriously.

Riiiight. "" You know I only pick the easiest lyrics to try!
That's what I was thinking with that line too, but I translated it in an odd way...but meaning seemed to me like the garden was particularly beautiful/special/magical (NOT WEIRD!!! ) cos the flowers bloomed/opened even in winter.

    Thanks, Sade.

LMAO at "not weird"....I said I was sorry!! "" You're right though...it does have that meaning. So how could you translate that... maybe "Flowers that bloom in summer and even in winter" ?? Bleh. You're the English sensei, tasukete!

Well it hurt okay! ščđćž...ahh so magical. Would you believe me if I told you that's an actual word in Bosnian?

Well, since you know already that this song makes me want to translate poetically, I would translate that line like this: Alas, behold flowers that bloometh in the warmth of summertime and alas, the ice that we call winter.

No really, I like it without the "even"....just flowers that open in summer and winter. Subtlety, baby! For some reason, I have an aversion to the word "bloom"...makes me think of bloomers (http://www.theatrehouse.com/mm5/grap..._Bloomers_.jpg)

Wow, that word is so magical....I had to cover my eyes cos its light was blinding me. No, no way that's a real word! You're just trying to scare me.

LOL....wow, that line could be from an English poem. Very nice, Shakespeare.

<-- that's me when I saw the picture. I had no idea what bloomers were, but now I have an aversion to the word "bloom" too. Thank you very much! :/ What other word could we use instead of that?
