To a friend on ATL, I said that when I was a kid and watched "Huckleberry Hound," I didn't know he had a Southern accent. He sounded like everybody else I knew. Then I saw the cartoon when I was an adult, and realized only then!!

    So, here's to HUCKLEBERRY HOUND!!

    (Another few may follow! )

Huckleberry Hound story ("Huckleberry Huck") pays tribute to the Appalachian Mountain Feud (most famous = Hatfield & McCoys) . . . set in the cartoon state of "Pennsyl-tucky"!!

Hey, now! I sing this here song to my young 'uns. This y'here is the West Louisiana/Texas version. I sing the Kentucky version of "Mr. Frog a'Courtin' He Did Ride." But like Uncle Paco, I sometimes make up the lyrics too!!!

I learned this song while I was in the second grade, my teacher taught us how to sing it in German!

And since it has the word "duck" in it, this is for you, ducky! Learn it till I appear again, so we can sing it together!
