This is a very famous song called "Thessaloniki mou" ("My Thessaloniki"), written by bouzouki virtuoso Manolis Hiotis, with lyrics by Christos Kolokotronis:

I think the old man who is singing in the Israeli video is actually a Greek Jew, a Holocaust survivor from Salonica. As I'm sure you know, Salonica had a very large Jewish Sephardi population before WWII-in fact, before 1912, when Macedonia became a part of Greece, there were more Jews than Greeks living in the city! In Greek it is also called "η μάνα του Ισραήλ"-"the mother of Israel":
