Its not what the news says, its what we dont see
Is this the way we intended our world to be?

We live in a world built on lies and genocide
We've all done wrong so why live with pride
Women and children are in prayer struggling to get out alive.
Fears amplified ,hearing the battle going on out side.
Covered with flies,waiting for demises.
Inocent dead bodies slaughtered in the night.
multiple murders of the innocent sacrificed as martyrs.
Call it what you want to but these martyrs had sons and daughters.

We can blame the government, we can blame mankind
But we cant make a change unless we speak our mind

Now thanks to our "heros" death has risen upon them
We all seek for soloutions, but problems is what we create
Theres no debate, we dont have the power to decide peoples fate
We're pulling troops out of Afghan but its all too late
Too many people died, staring down a barrel of hate

We're not good people living in a world thats ****ed up
Were ****ed up people and its the only we've got
So why do we desroy it, to settle petty rivalry
And why do i see dead bodies when i turn on the TV

People with bombs, guns, wires and c4
why people always settlin the score
you woulda thought the people's lives were worth more
but all I see is blood buried under dust, the rust building up on abandoned blocks
and the Trinity's in shock
all the busted locks, families that ain't even involved
we just lookin past stock market drop, the crooked cops, and the parents without jobs
to a war that's beyond us, it's already been set off
plop, another puddle of blood on a middle east sidewalk
don't ya hear the millions of hearts throbbin for a stop
hear the hot gunhail hop and harm, disarm, see the arms fall lifeless
the toll is priceless, we gotta fight this, before another dies like this
and you could spite this but it took a lot to write this
kid, forget your tight b*tch, do the right sh*t, before the light dims
I know I might sin, but in the moonlit night, I'm righteous
knowin I might just be sleepin through another cold wrist
I sip slight gin, and realize what's happenin
and as the thoughts pin in my head, I know this is only the beginnin
