Help me find this 1960s-80s sad song!

hi there so im having trouble finding a song that is very sad i cant remember the name or lyrics but i know it was a very sad song that nearly made me cry, no its not dust in the wind or starry starry nights. only thing tht i remember was like 3 or 4 people were signing along like singing the lyrics at the same time i know i don't have much information but please help me out

It would help to narrow down the time frame.

I would suggest that you think about what was going on in your life when you heard the song. That will at least rule out future years.

Did you hear this song more than a couple of times?

Did it play on the radio...was it a hit song?

Do you remember if it was Rock, Folk, Country, R&B etc?


The key to finding this song is to narrow down the time frame to within a few years.
