Question The Impossible To Find Song

I have a song that's been haunting me for YEARS and have only seemed to hear on the Kohl's PA system occasionally. It's a female duo singing with a kind of soft electronic/dreampop kind of sound. The females sing softly through the song and it kinda sounds like something that Garbage would have put out.

I can't remember any lyrics for certain which is why searching has been so hard.
PLEASE help me! I'm so obsessed with this song that I'm about ready to start offering cash to friends or Kohl's employees who can help me find this song.

Your song isn't impossible to find as long as you're willing to work with me to find it. If I suggest a song and it's wrong, give me feedback as to why it's wrong so I know what direction to look next.
    Let's start with this song:

"Give Me A Reason" by The Corrs

Unfortunately that's not it. The song has more dreamy, softer kind of sound to it with a quick tempo in the chorus.

Can you give me a rough idea of the time frame here? How long ago did you first hear the song? How recently did you last hear it?

Do you have good reason to believe that this is sung by a duo? Many times, vocal tracks are layered in to make one singer sound like several.

Here's one that hasn't been played in 3 or 4 years:

    "And I Dream" by Texas

    Unfortunately not it either.
Last I heard it was about 2-3 years ago and first time I remember hearing it was about 6 years ago at most. The song may have just been layered but sounded like a duet singing in the chorus.

I recorded me humming the tune of the chorus and tried to attatch it as a zip file, but I can't get it small enough to post in a message. I can try to e-mail it to you if you like. It's a 128kb WMA file zipped down to a 50kb ZIP file.

Thanks, didn't know about that site. This is me humming/"da dum"ing the tune of the chorus. There are actual lyrics sung there but I don't remember what I heard since I couldn't hear the lyrics clearly.

    Tune Sample.wma - 0.25MB

I don't recognize the song based upon your sample. However, it is helpful to have it. It'll help me narrow down the choices I have.
Let me run this song up the flagpole and see if you salute it:

    "Tess Don't Tell" by Ivy

Sorry, but not it yet. The layered voice in the chorus the style of the song is very similar though. The voice in the song I'm looking for has a little higher pitch but this is still very close to the style.

This is one of the best songs I've ever heard at Kohl's. I even have this as the ringtone on my cell phone.

    "Nth Degree" by Morningwood

Good song, and I like the music video too, but unfortunately not it. As you can see I started the other thread too to try and cover more options on finding this.

Another good song and I'm a Dido fan, but unfortunately not it either.
I really do appreciate your helping me search for this. I can't tell you how much this has been bugging me for so long.

Both good songs, but unfortunately not the right one. Downloaded them both anyways, but that is definitely the same style of music. The one that I've been searching for I'd say would be a cross between"Ivy" and "Garbage".

This is another Ivy song that they played at Kohl's:

"Blame It On Yourself" by Ivy
    http://mp3bear.com/ivy-blame-it-on-yourself

BTW, the only Garbage song I have in my collection is "Sex Is Not The Enemy". Is there another song that would give me a better idea of what your mystery song is like?

    On Edit:
In your post in the other forum you mentioned something about a "stupid girl", but you later edited that out. I didn't think much about that at the time. But now, I remembered the lyrics "stupid game". What about this song?

"Let's Go To Bed" by Ivy

Both good songs and got them both after hearing them, but neither is the right one. I'd say "When I Grow Up" by Garbage is a good example of what I'm thinking of. Basically the song I'm looking for sounds like the Ivy songs I've but maybe slightly edgier. Removed the statement about "stupid girl" which I thought may have been part of the chorus because when I thought about it more I don't remember if it was "boy" or "girl" in the chorus or if she was singing "stupid", "sexy", or something else.

"When I Grow Up" reminds me of this:
