please help. trying to remember a song from late 80s early 90s, american R&B, first verse is about a woman drinking cherry brandy to stop the pain and listening to the radio. next verse about substance abuse/dealing. keep rolling into tlc waterfalls when i try to hum it. cant remember the artist or the title, and the chorus eludes me!!

no. not that one. it is a political song rather than a personal one. tells stories about people living rough lives. it is from the same sort of era as soul to soul back to life - older than the the Tanya Stephens song i think.
