    Hey, it is from a verb мелькать/мелькнуть which is something like victor said streak or twinkle, glimpse...
    So, I would translate it like: The shadow on your streaky path.
    It depends from context.

    мелькну́ть - пролете́ть (пролетети, пролепршати.... )

    пролете́ть = (fig.) мелькнуть - to flash, flit.
