Sitting at the edge of my bed
staring at her picture and memories
running in circles through my head.
Remembering where everything went wrong
its the words she spoke to me that
keeps me tossin and turnin all night long.
Her words cut right at my heart
saying she does not love me
and now these tears begin to start.

Going back to when it happened
the scene and the feeling was so surreal
that my heart became so frightened.
I was overcome by the emotion
cause seeing you over again
was causing way too much commotion.
I tried to reach out for your hand
remembering when you would reach back
but you would not reach out again.

but going back only made this heart cry.

@jzon: I...like...this...song...! It's the "rewind" that gets me every time--that makes it current and not just a lonely-love song.

Can you tell me how you "hear" this song? Rock? Blues? something else? I can "hear" it a little bit, but how you mean it is important.

@frankiejasmine I hear it sort of a rock/pop ballad. Part of me would love to hear katy perry sing this, but she would have to change all the "SHE" lines into "HE" lines, which is not a big deal.

I've said this before,but I feel it needs to be repeated;if you put Commas to indicate pauses,it would make the lines easier to sing.Some of your verses are quite a mouthful,commas would break it up,making the phasing easier to comprehend and/or sing.Just a suggestion,you've got good rhymes,now try for good rhythm.
