    Jacques Cousteau

    Hey, Mr. Jacques Cousteau
    I really wanna know
    How ya live underwater
    Without air when ya oughtta
    Be on the ground?
    How ya make that sound?
    Glub.

    Hey, Jacques Cousteau
    Gotta wet tableau
    When you take a dive
    You don’t blow the prize.
    No hesitatin’
    You watchin’ the matin’

    Of a jelly fish
    Not a petri dish!
    You my kinda man,
    Mr. Jacques Cousteau,
    Cause you really blow
    In your underwater home.
    Blub.

    Jumpin’ for the dive-in,
    Thumpin’ when ya drivin’
    Through the blue hole
    With tha water in it
    Gimme a minute
I wanna be in the know,
    Mr. Jacques Cousteau.

    Jumpin’ and divin’
    Drivin’ and thrivin’
    Makin’ a livin’
    Where the fish in.
    You in a blue heaven
    Turned around
    On the up-side-down
    Explorin’
    Where the mountains
    Bore in
    Below sea level
    Low!
    Gotta weight-belt in
    Your naval
    You’re Naval, alright!
    Mr. Air-Tight
    Whoa!
    Skinny-tights
    Outta sight!
    Blow!

    Mr. Jacques Cousteau
    Hey, in the hole!
    Dig me out some
    Gold doubloons
    If you got room
    In your
    Underwater zoom
    With tha windows in it.
    Hey! Wait a minute!
    Don’t go
    Aint done,
    Ya know?
    Come on back,
    Hey, Mr. Jacques Cousteau!
    He gone.
    Glub.

"Tha" wuz intentional. I would have put "tha windas" also (last verse), but that might be too unclear to non-Americans.
I'm actually at how much you like my rhyme!
It was fun to do. I got tha bump an' the rhyme goin' on.
Maybe I'll record it on YouTube and post it here!

Hi F. J., I´m not sure but I could think that this is the first song made to Jaques Cousteau, I remember when I was a Boy and saw his interesting documentals about the deep waters in the oceans.
I wanted to point that all the rhymes sound fresh and fast, and the end is so funny, so I think that if you make a song, it could be fast rhythm and festive, to celebrate the amazing life of this great sea man. Glub!!!

Thanks, safey. As we say in America, I wear "many hats"!! One of them is a Stetson!

Or a bandana, as the case may be.

Or maybe you refer to my being a "tomboy"!!! In which case I might wear a baseball hat, slightly askew!

    But when I'm a lady, the hatter's
    Another matter!!

no, no "tomboy" thing... My comment had to do with the fact that I don't get half of the lyrics of that song

    It's all "Texan" to me

(taken from the saying: "It's all greek to me" )...

Well, lots of cowboys in Texas...speaking with similar, difficult to understand accent and idioms/slang expressions ...thus my comment :P

So, I can now safely baptize you: "Kentucky cowgirl"
The most charming creatures on this earth. The only women who can show what they feel and, they do feel.

Safey, you're so funny!! You're so expert with English, I thought you'd pick up on almost everything. Your joke is funny, but Texas is nowhere near where I live, so you might as well have said "Greek"!!! (That was funny, though!!! ) Some of the phrasing is in vernacular related to rap and is not proper English that you'd learn as a language. That might be why you don't get it. At least you got enough that you ROFL!!!!

Blow = one reference is to someone who can really sing or do something extraordinarily well; an older reference is to the scuba gear, exhaling (blow). Of course the biggest references in street language is for drugs and other acts I do not mean anyway...

Thumpin' = some young people's rides (another expression = cars/autos) are wired for deep bass sound; therefore when they drive along, the ground and sometimes even houses start thumping or shaking because the bass of their music is so loud! Usually, you feel the vibration before a car even enters your road. Once they're driving by your house can hear the music as well as the bass--and your even sturdy windows are rattling! "Zoom" is another version of "ride" or car.

"Blue heavens turned around on the up-side-down," is a reference I made to the blue ocean itself.

Yes, Moon. She had to. It's an irresistable urge inside of us that grows greater the more we try to keep it 'pinned down,' right, Tess?
We're so much better off to let it fly than deny it. Otherwise we're eaten alive from the inside-out, like "The Blob"!!!
Unbridled enthusiasm, words on the loose, emotions spanglin', with little held back . . . And that's no poetry, but the truth!
