    As I read this, my mind keeps seeing an apocalyptic setting, but I know I'm just projecting...

    What do you think about changing the 6th line to "The ground returns a quake"?

    This is one of the best I've ever read in this forum, or anywhere that wasn't bound up in a book. If you're thinking about adding more, that would be great, but I think it's also great as it is!
