I've been after this song for years!

I heard it on the radio back early 2008. It sounds pop/dancey and it starts off with catchy trumpet rhythm, which continues in the background for most of the song. It is sung by a girl and the only lyrics that I can remember are "nah nah nah nah nah" (give or take a few "nahs"). I recall hearing a "you can dance" as well, thought I might be mistaken. The song is kind of fast and quite catchy.

The trumpet rhythm goes like this: dah dah dah daaah, dah dah dah DAAAH dah, dah dah daah.

Any help is very appreciated, I've been looking for this song for ages!

As soon as I read this I had something very similar to Mixalopoulos' song. Not saying you made a mistake or anything, but that particular song many people said it was a trumpet when it really was a saxophone. Here is what I was thinking, it's the same melody as the song above, but different singer and lyrics.

No those aren't it The very first thing it starts off with is a trumpet (or trumpet sounding) instrument. Calabria has a saxophone. Thanks for the tries though

I have a couple more guesses, but one thing I forgot to ask is how old do you think the song may be? Can it be recent? Can it be from the 90s? 00s?

No those aren't it either. Thanks for trying though. The song was released in the 00's I'd say, it definitely sounded like it

Would even exclude "Would You..." by Touch & Go, which is yet another one that mainly consists of this jazzy trumpet/sax stuff. And yes, it IS up-tempo.
