What I like about the "Tour of Italy of ... Cesaroni"
    Angelo Zomegnan
And 'the curtain fell on the real world cycling season with the Lombardy "Purito" Rodriguez, the first Spanish triumph in more than a century of storiai, and stood up to the presentations of the challenges to come: Around 2013, a few hours ago, moved ahead on the new tour that will blossom on October 24 in Paris (and in next July will scale the same day twice Alpe d'Huez) and Vuelta, which usually manifests itself in the middle of winter .
Despite the wall above Sormano did a spot for himself at the expense of the past 85 final kilometers of Lombardy, the challenge of the last of the monuments of cycling vintage 2012 leaves room for quisquiglie Chinese and gives us the image of happy " Purito "runner able to take the lead at the top of the beginning of March to the end of September.
For a more orthodox day in the allocation of subsidies would probably have to "Purito" to add the Tour of Italy the Flèche Wallonne and Lombardy. Now that water does not grind anymore. And maybe a less evanescent conduct would give Rodriguez the red jersey of the Vuelta, which instead Alberto Contador snatched from the shoulders with a blitz in the twilight of an extraordinary challenge three weeks most fascinating of the year.
New England is expected to additional verification. The show was not great. And even in 2011 had raised some concerns (just ask Vincenzo Nibali ...). In all transparency, are of the opinion that the real problem to make it more spectacular in the end is not to put an obstacle before the Ghisallo, but just between the Ghisallo and the Villa Vergano if you want to stay with the finish in Lecco. A little 'as happened in arrivals in Como in recent years when among the Ghisallo and the Colle di San Fermo, just after Grass, was that tooth to Civiglio able to choose the hero to really "ultimate" of the day. A year from now we will know more. For now we can say that on live TV he has not seen the decisive shot of "Purito" in the Flood and the descent from the wall Sormano did, unfortunately, more selection of the climb: sorry to have lost a fall the neoridato Philippe Gilbert had just taken off when the cape declared himself ready to do battle on the last summit of Villa Vergano.
And here we are at the Giro of 2013: number 96 the legend of the Official and cycling. We enjoyed the presentation of gazzetta.it because the RAI did not wish to run it live. The rest of Raisport one was there to take care of two raging Raisport rowing and motocross. Do you want to make? The wait for the new tour could compete with those two events? To you the answer. And not worth the explanations related to the reason of state who see the Rai still far from signing the contract with RCS to distribute live and clear in the next editions of the Giro. The reason of state was very different: we do not deprive viewers of an event-tradition that unites the entire peninsula. Because one thing is clear to everyone: Milan and Inter segment, instead joining the Tour. The only mitigating factor is that the time of the presentation was going to hit the end of the news on Rai 1, Rai 2 and Rai 3. Raisport of the Giro there was, and how!
To be fair, Andrea Monti - who at one point went from comment on the introduction of guests - did not make us regret Auro Bulbarelli. And the space allocated to Official was better and more meaningful than ever before and this in honor to one certainty: the Tour is the Official and no one else.
The ceremony of Milan was the certification of the rumors intended or escaped in the weeks prior to the organizers. The general feeling was well played by Pier Bergonzi, that cycling has the eye along: everyone likes, grandchildren as grandparents, it's a little 'tour of Cesaroni ... evoking the telenovela as a snack tv set in Rome and so in vogue. In other words: the triumph of the national-Pippo Baudo. Hopefully this is also the May 26, 2013, a triumph with daily apotheosis when the Leonessa Brescia will eat the last bite pink as its visionary mayor Adriano Paroli dreamed for a long time and that Milan, however, this time he rocked in vain.
The tour officially newborn is varied even if leggerino nell'altimetria. Hats off. Forget the zig-orange blossoms almost schizophrenic in northern Italy in the second half of the adventure. Forget it also transfers that to be 3400 km in total require the organizers of the exercises of imagination not indifferent. Forget the uneasiness that it is really worth it for the nice picnic in Ischia. These issues we leave them to those who want to focus more on form rather than substance, forgetting, as usual, that the stress of modern life inevitably reflect on the events and not just ordinary transport.
    Look quite content.
Well, a tour like that and it is good to all, has less success at the end of a tour that divides opinion, and the people already in the presentation. Luckily someone did not like it and will continue to not like it. And I felt, albeit faded because they were all guests of catering Davide Oldani (chef trend), in moments of live web dedicated to runners: 18 minutes, so, out of a total 80. And thank goodness! Means that the new Giro of edges to be smoothed with sweat. This will make it spectacular though ...
Even if ... Giro is a split in two. The first part is unabashedly in favor of cronomen. The second one is completely on the side of the climbers. And if you happen between the head and neck a sample to Miguel Indurain, so to speak, although teams can support the grimpeur in Ischia and despite the track from Gabicce to Saltara is rougher than it appears nell'altimetria official ... and if you happens between the head and neck a Indurain - it was said - "our" has the ability to put between himself and the climber so-and-so at least 360 seconds, which then six minutes. A huge gap for cycling "modern" and even more for cycling "contemporary". If you really want to Bradley Wiggins groped Grand Slam Tour-Giro-Vuelta before closing his career, who knows when another opportunity like happen.
It 's true that steep as the Galibier and bad days like those of Martell, the Three Peaks and the time trial to Polsa can turn the situation from time to time, but this will only be possible if the tour will be able to seduce the pioneers of Group to meet you to honor and balance.
In other words, I was still the organizer of the tour, after a design like this, I'd do anything to get to via Alberto Contador, Cadel Evans, Andy Schleck, Purito Rodriguez, Samuel Sanchez and nourished and better patrol Italian ideally led by Vincenzo Nibali to fight Bradley Wiggins, could show us a little thought, and perhaps even that Ryder Hesjedal who in 2012 blew the bank to surprise (perhaps even for himself). And there is always outstanding Chris Froome, which on paper is even more suitable for a tour so than its captain Wigging.
Half of the riders mentioned was the Basque Pelota for the official announcement of a tour that already knew: the important thing is to get them to show up at away from Naples on May 4. The paths are measured only with a high quality of participation. The last Tour of Spain it is the clearest proof. Not by chance was the most exciting grand tour of 2012, as mentioned above and as shared by runners, cyclists, viewers and fans.

PS - For those who have not been able to follow the presentation of gazzetta.it, here's the plot of the Tour of Italy number 96 in schedule 4 to 26 May 2013:
