Is It Real

I've never been in here before
Couldn't even find the door
so every day I pinch myself
Wondering if it's someone else
Who do you see
Is it really me?

Out of body out of mind
Like dreaming through some other time
Quiet please don't wake me yet
How much higher can i get?
Before it rains
and i slip and fall again

Mirror shows the queen of hearts
but is it just a trick of art?
The song you sing when I feel blue
Promise me its really you
and can you see
is this really me?

Tell me this is what it seems
not just someone's crazy scheme
a poem like Henry Wadsworth wrote
a fireside chat or anecdote
Don't let them steal
this dream that is so real

I'll sing our song and dance with you
believing all we have is true
A carriage waits at my front door
One that i've never seen before
but i've got Cinderella's shoe
and i've got you.

I'm with you on this one, Tess. You keep on writing because you have so much to offer. And I'll be right there behind, cheering you on. My favorite stanza:
