Here are the lyrics in Arabic & below the transcription and under that the (not too) poor attempt of a translation:
عايش حياة من غير ملامح
3âyesh 7ayah men gher malâme7
I live a life without features
Tâyih fi 7elmy w mokhkhy sâre7
Lost in my dream and my head, wandering
Mâshy badanden fi el shawâre3
Walking the streets while humming
W el nas tisarrekh, nas tisâre3
While the other people yell and hurry
W ana fi ṭarî2y li la7ny sâme3
[B]And me, listening to my song on the way[B]
Di el kelmah arḍ w ana el mozâre3
That is the soil's word and I am the farmer
3ala fein yâ donyâ mwaddeyany?
Where are you taking me, oh world?
3ala fein ya donyet el mwâge3?
Where to, oh world's ache?
w yes2alôny yâbny mâlak
And they ask me: "Oh boy, (something, can't make anything senseful out of it, maybe "Oh wealthy boy"?)"
W eih elly dâyer fi khayâlak?
And what is it, you are searching for in your imagination?
Arodd a2ool 7elmy byekber
I answer, I say; my dreams are growing
Arodd a2ool ṭabb w enta mâlak
I answer, I say; but you are wealthy, too!
Shey ṣa3b yôm teb2a fi makâny
One day, something difficult will be in my place (I bet that is some idiom unknown to me?!
)
Men el ṣa3b yôm ab2a fi makânek
From that difficulty one day I'll be in your place (Again, guessing it is tied together with that idiom...)
Di 7ekâyety mosh sahlah di ṣa3bah
This story of mine is not easy, it's hard
Khalleek ma3aya w ha7keihalek
Stay with me and I shall tell you
2âlooly 7elmek 7abl dâyeb
They said "Your dream's a vanishing rope" (?)
W fḍelt sâket w barâ2eb
And I kept silent and kept observing
W fi koll la7ẓah ma3a el 3a2âreb
And every moment with the clock hands (Or does he mean "crabs", instead of clock hands?)
Bye3addy men 2oddâmy 2âreb
Passes by closely in front of me
W mokhkhy bi el afkâr y7âreb
And my brain fights with the thoughts
W 2alby li el a7zân yewâreb
And my heart dupes the sadness
Beneet li nafsy 7elm a3eesho
I built myself a dream that I am living
Fi koll ṭoobah w koll 2âleb
In every brick and every form
W bafteker w ana ṭofl râge3
And I remember returning when I was a child
bi shanṭety w guwwaha wâgeb
With my bag, and in it necessities
Akhadt 3ahd li men sâ3etha
I took an oath from that time on
A3eesh ṣaree7 w ma a3eeshsh sâleb
That I am to live just and I shall not live ill
2alou 3alayya sa3etha fâshel
They said about me (even) back then to fail
W ṣooty 3aly w motakâsel
And my voice was loud yet I was lazy (= meaning, he was cheeky)
W akhadt koll kelmah 3âmel
And I took every word and dealt with it
W fḍelt a7ky 3 el meshâkel
And kept narrating about the problems
Note, that:
Ḍ,ḍ denotes ض
Ṣ,ṣ denotes ص
Ṭ,ṭ denotes ط
Ẓ,ẓ denotes ظ
As I am guessing to have made a few mistakes, a revision and correction will be appreciated.
However, please enjoy my approach.
