Mohammed Fawzi - Ta3ab el hawa 2alby

I did a bellydance workshop some time ago with and we danced to this song

I'm looking for the name of this song and the singer. I want to dance to it but I can't do that unless I know what is the song about..

So what I really really want to know is the translation to the lyrics.. All I can make of it is the word "albi" which i know means heart :-)

I would be so thankfull if anybody could help me!!

The song is of Egyptian origin. It is called "Ta3ab el hawa 2alby" تعب الهوى قلبي and is sung by Mohammed Fawzi.

حبّينا ودارينا وليلنا بيطوّل
7abbeinâ w dâreinâ w leilna byeṭaweel
We loved and we hid and our night prolonged
ياريت ما خبّينا على بعض م الاوّل
Yâreit mâ khabbeinâ 3ala ba3ḍ m el awwel
I wished, we didn't hide from each other from the very beginning
وصبرنا ما لاقينا الصبر بينوّل
We ṣbornâ mâ lâ2einâ el ṣabr byenawwel
And we were patient and didn't find any patience to be given
وقلوبنا وعينينا مش راضية تتحول
W 2loubnâ w 3eineinâ mosh raḍiyah tet7awwel
And our hearts and our eyes were not pleased to change
ضيّعت ايّامي بين شوقي وهيامي

I bear the word, that she is the one occupying me (= my mind) (= I am bearing the word, not telling = releasing it)

W yâreitny a2oulhâlo w a3eedha men tâny
And oh I wished, I would tell her and bring it back to her once again
يا اهل ترى في باله ولا حينساني
Ya ahl tara fi bâlo walâ 7ayensâny
Oh people, it appears that it is in his head and he won't forget me
ويميل لعُذاله ويفوتني من تاني
W yemeil li 3ozalo w yefoutny men tany
No idea, what that could mean

مهما يوزّعني حبه ملوّعني
Mahmâ ywezza3ny 7abbo mloww3ny
No matter if (... something)
وحتى لو باعني برضه انا شاري

And even if he'd sell me, I'd also be the buyer

من يوم ما كلّمته في القلبي خبيته
Men youm mâ kallemto fi el 2alby khabbeito
From the day I spoke to him I hid him in my heart
وفي عيني نيمته وبرمشي غطيته
W fi 3einy nayyemto w bi remshy ghaṭeito
And I put him to sleep in my eyes and with my eye lashes I covered him
وبإيدي سلّمته الروح وحبيته
W bi eidy sallemto el rou7 w 7abbeito
And with my (own) hands I surrendered my soul to him and I loved him
من قلبي علّمته الصبر وكويته
Men 2alby 3allemto el ṣabr w kaweito
From my heart I taught him the patience and burnt for him (?)
لا انا قادر احكيله ولا قادر اشكيله
La ana 2âder a7keilo walâ 2âder ashkeilo
I cannot tell him and I cannot complain to him
واخاف اناديله لا تبانله اسراري
W akhâf anâdeilo lâ tbânlo asrâry
And I fear to call out for him and my secrets do not reveal to him Again, maybe?
تعب الهوى تعب الهوى قلبي

تعب الهوى قلبي والحلو مش داري

Note, that:
Ḍ,ḍ denotes ض
Ṣ,ṣ denotes ص
Ṭ,ṭ denotes ط
Ẓ,ẓ denotes ظ

3ozal = i don't think this has a meaning in english,it means people who envy the couple and want to put them apart ,yani people who don't nothing good to happen to you,i'll use the world enemy or green-eyed

كوى = Cauterize,burn


من قلبي علّمته الصبر وكويته
Men 2alby 3allemto el ṣabr w kaweito
From my heart I taught him the patience and burnt him

I have no idea what it means,but it's like that!

واخاف اناديله لا تبانله اسراري
W akhâf anâdeilo lâ tbânlo asrâry
And I fear to call out for him and (I fear)that my secrets reveal to him Again

it is not the "لا" for negation ,it should be "ل" --------------> لتبانله

Uh-huh! With "li-" instead of "la" it is ... more comprehendible.
