Default Head for the Hills (Devil's Knocking)

    Our daddy raised us
    To protect ourselves
    Don't depend on no one
    Don't need nobody else

    When trouble called
    Used to stand our ground
But now we're on the run
We're just dust left on this town

    Chorus:
Yeah, we run from the law, run from the rules
    Run from the holy son
Run from our past, run from the man
    Run from everyone
Run from the storm, run from our sins
    Ride with smoking wheels
And when the Devil's knocking on our doors
    We head for the hills

    We drink all day
    We cuss and fight
    We fish and shoot
    We smoke all night

    When they come looking
    Those boys in blue
    We don't leave a trace
Because we know what to do

    Chorus:
Yeah, we run from the law, run from the rules
    Run from the holy son
Run from our past, run from the man
    Run from everyone
Run from the storm, run from our sins
    Ride with smoking wheels
And when the Devil's knocking on our doors
    We head for the hills

    Bridge:
    We won't come back
    We won't slow down
    And if Hell comes calling
    He won't catch us now

    Chorus:
Yeah, we run from the law, run from the rules
    Run from the holy son
Run from our past, run from the man
    Run from everyone
Run from the storm, run from our sins
    Ride with smoking wheels
And when the Devil's knocking on our doors
    We head for the hills

This is a great little rebel song. The first stanza could be tighten up a bit.The third and fourth lines could be put together:
    Don't depend on
    No one else

If you edited out those words, wrote it like this,I think the rhythm would be must stronger. This could be a movie soundtrack song.

Thank you Doug! I agree, those two lines are a little redundant together. I appreciate the feedback!
