I would have commented on this sooner if this site wasn't so flooded with great songs.I like this for the same reason I like most songs;good rhythm and good rhymes.The story line is one we're all familiar with;breakup and the aftermath of what transpires therein.It reminds me of Neil Young's "Down By the River"only because of "took your best shot"reminds me of "I shot my baby"I know it's totally different,but if it reminds one of Neil,you're on the right track!
