I remember a song from the 80s and it started with a deep *male* voice singing "Maiabe Mazumbabe"(2x or 3x) it was like in some Afrikan idiom and I suppose the guy singing it was black, but I'm not sure on that.

Mixalopoulos, neither of those. Although it has some remembrance to the Homeless in that the beginning was also a Capella but later the instruments started in.
