    Guess it's referring to someone who's like an angel

    I would put the song by Shayfer James on the shortlist. It has a very similar phrase:

    ..And a wound on her back where her wings should have been ..

    Legend! That's it, thanks so much. Also explains why I couldn't google it - it's a lesser known song from the aussie artists and thus not in all of the lyric engines.
