Default fearing death is fearing living

had this saying rattling around in my head for days now and just randomly had the urge to write something and this is what was created lol hope you enjoy

    Don’t hide in the shadows
    To avoid being seen
    Don’t smile that heartless smile
When it’s nothing but a screen

You see so much of the pavement
When there’s beauty to be found
    Just tilt your head up
And take a good look around

I know the worlds a scary place
    But it’s also so forgiving
Being scared is part of life
But fearing death is fearing living

Don’t split your self from the world
    Instead go and embrace it
It’s a gift to help you live your life
A gift to help awake your spirit

    You are beyond perfect
In you own messed up way
You just need to find our path
I promise you will be ok

    I know the world's a scary place
    But it’s also so forgiving
Being scared is part of life
But fearing death is fearing living

    Don’t long for yesterday
    Live in the now
You can be who you want to be
You just have to find out how

    Live life to the fullest
It will make you so strong
    Come into the light
    Where you know you belong

I know the worlds a scary place
    But it’s also so forgiving
Being scared is part of life
But fearing death is fearing living

Very Cool with a capital "C"!"To avoid "being" seen"in the first verse. The "world's"in the 3rd&6th&9th verse.I usually don't do corrections, but this is so good I had to!

I absolutely love this song. It can be a wake-up call for many of us. My favorite line: 'You are beyond perfect in your own messy way'.

    That's my favorite line,too.

I think it's a great song. I imagined it as a country/folk song, but it can also be a nice rock song. I think this is really great and it could be a hit with the right melody and some stronger lines. It is already pretty strong, but I think you should focus a little in the 2nd verse and make it more powerful. This is just my opinion. I had to say it to you cuz you can really make this a hit.
The journey has begun. "Nothing safe is worth the drive."

Agreed! No wonder this circled in your head, lol: It had to be written down!
A positive song with dips of black humour , plain realism and philosophy
"if you don't go out, you can't be hit by a car
but you could fall from the stairs or choke on a fishgrate"
IOW: for goodness sake, forget your fears and start rocking, pal!

This song/poem includes material for various slightly different songs
depending which verse you take out especially.
There is love, shyness, fear, you name it, you've got it.
    Thought about that?

    Well done!
