    Default Babel

stand atop the tower of Babel
    tell me what you see
broken world; blood, death and warfare
    shattered democracy
    i have a dream
    where man get's long
we could build a better world
    a much stronger one

    my dream
    to reach
    from the sacred tower
    to touch
    to feel
    the mighty hand of god
    grant me my wishes
    for I cannot take this
    we're slowly destroying
    and never rebuilding
    take to the skies
    from the tower of Babel!

darkness falls on the tower of Babel
    we're blinded by our hate
severing our minds from humanity and feeling
    the jaws of hell masticate
nothing will remain of our souls
if we cannot agree, cannot compromise
    selling our honour for gold
    Dirty Gold

    my dream
    to reach
    from the sacred tower
    to touch
    to feel
    the mighty hand of god
    grant me my wishes
    for I cannot take this
    we're slowly destroying
    and never rebuilding
    take to the skies
    from the tower of Babel!

Saying, come out of that modern babylon, which is both a metaphorical and a real place, though not the same as was before, if you follow. The new babylon, by reason of understanding would be New York City. A major hub of immigrants. But alas, I'm babbling. Great song. Nice edge to them. Both a religious person or a non religious person can still fall in love with this set of lyrics. I like 'em a lot.
Rock Rebel;if you were going to babble,I guess the Babel Thread was THE place to do it!Great choice!
