    Default Obsidian Rock

I never signed-off on the town that I'm livin in.
Every night lost is an ounce of me giving in.
Often I'm in thought of the Indian who told me I would die but then promised in the end i would live again.
I think he meant the conscious of the living man..
Once I stopped just to watch a possum cross a river dam.
Squatting a balsam it dragged a single fist.
And with its paw and one swat snagged a pickerel fish.
And in that moment a cluster of pine snapped..
Leaking rays of sunshine upon flustered lilacs.
Then I knew, life is. It's given and lost.
But never is it gone; like obsidian rock.
I got the lucky spin in being me and i ain't down to wast it.
The fuzz gets hit with treasonry when I'm bound in cages.
I'm too important cuz I know it, and that's the secret.
We all accrue our fortune if we hope for it the deepest.

Smoothtung: it is the most stunning line of poetry I have come across in months!

Obsidian rock is also a wellfitting title, as it is indeed a symbol of life.
I realized that when walking through vulcanic land in Spain and Greece.

The way you have written this poem has moved me deeply this very afternoon. Thanks!

Rickey: You continued Smoothtungs thoughts drawing your own conclusions:"stop raping the earth, for goodness sake and
there's not a minute to loose!". Indeed there isnot. But you remember the obsidian rock and what it stands for.
    Taking a Positive Turn....

Thank you very much Amaryn your feedback is very much appreciated. And I'm glad you were able to understand my piece, it is very much so about 'positive turns'.
And Rickey; nice piece man.. though I would by lying if I said I wasn't looking for more of a feedback type post from you.
