    Default Ultimatum

    Rain

    A storm perplexion brews

    In a furious suppresion
    As the undertow
    Roars
    "Release me!
    I am not
    Your prodigy
    Nor a genius
    I am, but barely
    Myself with you"

    But outside

    The storm perplex
    A trail
    Reveals beyond
    Old family obligations
    "A prodigy?
    A genius?
    I was never a
    part of that!
    Let me be
    anything but you!"

    This was long ago

But when I saw her again
She was sitting in the garden
    Like a shadow consumed
    By its fragrance
    "Caring my little beloved's"
    She said..
    Talking to
    The coming corrosion

    Dear

    Give up the thoughts
    Of becoming something else.
    Now that you are here
    Imagine only me and you
    Running along
    On this piece of paper.
    Where does the trail end?
How far can you stretch this text
    Before it becomes
    Something, which is by something
    That's accorded to and refined?
    Instead
    Show me, who you are
    To make up your
    Own mind.
    And let the purpose
    Take its course
    .

I truly enjoyed this one. I can't imagine what kind of music would suit these lyrics but the mere words did the job for me.

Thanks! This is a song where I stepped out of my comfort zone, in the context of the story told. Yeah, I'm having trouble deciding what music this could fit myself...
I'm still working on it though, I ain't completely satisfied yet....

Eccer,I looked on your list of "Threads Started By"to see if their were any SONGS I hadn't commented on.Your Poetry is SO over my head,I thought a song lyric would be more fair to comment on.This song strikes me as Moody Blues-ish.I could "hear"them singing/playing this. That's how I judge a song lyric:can I hear a group,I'm familiar with,do it.This is a definite:Yes!

Lol, Eccer, what a fine lyricist you are! It is a joy reading this, even when your questions
may rip through the "clothing of the soul"

    Thanks again.
