    Default Up The Mountains.

I woke up with a start
drenched in the light of the sun
    Stepping unto uncharted territory
    foraging for the right equipment
    The path to tread,
    a looming mystery.
    My very next step,
    a conundrum.
    My confusion palpable
at the labyrithine course before me
    then i espied
    my compass,
    your radiating smile.

Excellent, this was very good IMO. It served its small purpose, and fulfilled it flawlessly. Welcome to allthelyrics forum!

sure, Curiosity, odd you say people prefer long poems; I disagree- this little jewel of yours proves you wrong per sé

Thanks for believing in these lines' ability to communicate... Is that the line you like?

No, Dougg. You have a definitive style of your own. Always refreshing to view your work.

(Are you also an instrumentalist?) Just curious

I've played Drums my entire life. When I was a child I used to "bounce"my head on my pillow to go to sleep.I'm always aware of the "beat"in anything I do.I'm very concisious of rhythm in life itself.

Curiosity! How nice to see you! I was getting worried daily life got totally hold of you

@Doug: I strongly can feel like you, though I play guitar and sing. Without rhythm (a whole scale of them) it's impossible to play, compose, write lyrics.

Drumming is not as easy as it looks, & more often than not, the drummer makes the band.
