    Hi,

I need help to understand the verses below :

    في سفحنا العرزال..
    يرف سحري الغصون

I think the sequence of words is reversed and the correct sequence would be :

العرزال في سفحنا يرف سحري الغصون

My attempt : The branches gently/magicaly brush the chalet/mountain hut at our foothill

    Thanks in advance

i'd like to help u but i'm a native Arabic speaker and believe me i don't understand what that means

let's try though, what confuses me in these lines is the "ي" in the word "سحري", in this case it either means "my magic" or "magical" so it doesn't fit, and if we suppose "العرزال" means "hut" cause it's the 1st time i ever hear this word, so in this case it'd be "the hut is in our foothill, the branches brush my magic", i'm not sure at all

Thank you Mvnr2. Actualy those verses are from a song in Fus7a . According the dictionaries 3rzal means chalet / small house / gazebo / mountain hut.
"sa7ry" is really a problem.I've found out another version of the lyrics and instead of سحري it's written سحريا. Doest it make more sense ?

    I'm inclined to think it's se7r of the 3'soon

I guess it is really se7r instead of eather se7ry or se7rya. I have another version ( the third one) where it is written se7r.

    The lyrics :

George - it would still be pronounced se7ri el 3'soon so that could explain the spelling

Thank you Viva. It's really explains the spelling and as it is a fus7a song so that final "i" must indicate the genitive. But how to translate se7ri el 3'soon ? and what about the whole verse ?

في سفحنا العرزال يرف سحر الغصون
وساحة الأظلا ل في شجوها طيبٌ حنون

The huts in the valley (at the base)
are touched by the magic of the branches?

Ok when someone mentions i3rab that's the cue for me to leave and take a backseat and wait for the pros like Firas and Oriee to come

I love I3rab the mostt in Arabic

The sentence is like يرف سحر الغصون في سفحنا العرزال
    It's not Mobtada2 ..
يرف : verb (fe3l) فعل مضارع مرفوع بالضمة
    سحرُ : fa3el فاعل مرفوع و علامة رفعه الضمة
الغصونِ : modaf ileh مضاف إليه مجرور بالكسرة

Sometimes in poems or songs they don't really care about i3rab .. to make the rhyme sounds good .. maybe this is the reason

    Anyone ?

At least the meaning of طيبٌ حنون. I've found out many phrases on the net with that expression :

    1) هناك انسان مزاجي طيب حنون .. لا يمكنني اكمال يومي بدووونه

    2) العنيدة والعنيفة واضافت اني ابحث عن رجل طيب حنون وكريم مستقل يحبني ويهتم

    3) ادرى انك تحملين قلب طيب حنون لان هالكلام ما يطلع الا من نفس صافيه محبه للخير

    4) لقد غمرني إحساس متدفِّقٌ بالحزن والألم لرحيل أب طيب حنون، جمع بشكل
