    Default Improving Arabic writing skills

    Hi Guys,

I have been studying Arabic for a while, and whilst I may understand some things , my writing is terrible. As with all things, practise makes perfect , So I wanted to improve my writing skills here. So the idea is that I will write a little and hopefully someone can correct me (in arabic). enshaAllah. The plan is that you guys help me write clearly in Arabic and help me learn how to express myself in Arabic.

    Thanks

أنا طالبة اللغة العربية. أنا أحب هذه اللغة لان هذه اللغة ,اللغة القرآن و الدين الإسلام . أنا درست اللغة العربية منذ سنة تقريبا لكن أحينا انا اترك
    دراستي لأني أجدها صعب

    It should read:

I am a student of the arabic language. I love this language because it is the language of the Qur'an and the religion of Islam. I have been studying Arabic since a year or so but sometimes I leave/abandon my studies because i find it hard.

Such an useful thread I believe everything here will be in Fuss7a, no?
And also, you want us to correct the writing skills only or correcting the structure of the sentence itself?

Yes everything in here will be in fus7a. (Any other learners who would like to learn, please feel free to but please only practise your fus7a here so it doesnt get confusing and also because there are already many threads for the dialects - egyptian etc)

Correct everything, the writing, the sentence structure. Please

First of all, avoid repeating Ana in every sentence, it shows some weakness in the sentence ..
and also do not repeat the same subject .. I mean like in English, when you say :

أنا أحب هذه اللغة لأنها لغة ....

its saying i i love which means I have written 'I' twice?

    in arabic if u say
    أنا أحبك
and its look like saying I I love and some how it is technically to confirm and it right
but u dont have to use " I , she ; he .... " All the time because the sentence show how is talks

Exactly my dear!! you got it

Look at this sentence I'll write below :

أنا أحب اللغة العربية ، و أنا أتعلمُ هذه اللغة جيدا ، و أنا أستمتع عندما أقرأ الكتب العربية
Here is shows some weakness ..
It's better to say it in this way:
أنا أحب اللغة العربية ، و أتعلمُ هذه اللغة جيداً ، و أستمتع عندما أقرأ الكتب العربية

Without mentioning Ana in the first of every sentence, the verb itself contains "ANA"
it's known that all these refer to you by reading the verbs
    أتعلمُ ، أستمتعُ ، أحبُ

    شكراً لمساعدتك ، أنا أستمتعُ بهذا التدريب
    - استمتاع : enjoyment (n)
    استمتعُ : I enjoy

تقول المعلمة دائماً بأنه يجب أن أحاول و أتدرب على الكتابة .. إن شاء الله

    -(she) Says : تقول
    (she) said : قالت

-In fuss7a to say must : يجب أن yajibu ann
I don't think using Lazim is correct in this way .. lazim is more in dialects for certainty the verbs ..

    - I practice =أتدرب على

سأحاول مع أصحابي هنا ، أرجو\أتمنى أن تكونو صبورين معي

    I will try : سأحاول
    I try : أحاول

    صبراً = patience
    صبور = patient (singular)
    صبورين = patient (plural)

أمس كنت ذهبت إلى بيت بنت حالتي
. زرتها لأنها ستسافر إلى مكة ان شاء الله
أحب ان أزور إسرتي و أقضي بعد ألوقت معهم.
الرحلة هناك كانت طويلة جداً و تجعلني طعبا.
لكن لما أرى وجها نسيت الرحلة التي تعبتني.

    It should read:
yesterday I went to my cousin (aunts daughter) house. I visited her because she will travel to makkah enshaAllah.
I love visiting my family and spending some time with them.
The journey there was long and made me tired.
but when i saw her face I forgot the journey which tired me.

(how do i say the tiring journey?)

Sorry, But are you a native Arabic? this still includes many mistakes!

في الأمس ذهبتُ إلى بيت ابنة خالتي ..
زرتها لأنها ستسافر إلى مكة ان شاء الله
    أحبُ أن أزورَ أسرتي\عائلتي و أقضي بعض الوقت معهم
الرحلة كانت مُتعِبَة لأنها طويلة جدا (he journey was tiring because it was long) [mut3iba]
لكن عندما رأيت وجهها نسيتُ تعب الرحلة

Yesterday : في الأمس - البارحة
    Some : بعض
    بعد : After..

    face : وجه
her face : وجهـ ها .. وجهها ..
نسيت تعب الرحلة : I forgot the tiredness of the journey (it's the best way to say it in Arabic, because you forgot the tiredness itself!)

The tiring journey : الرحلة المتعبة
    Al Ri7lah Al Mut3iba
You can replace it with "Ta3ab Al Ri7lah" which I wrote above.. it's also true..

احب ان اسمع أغنية . أسمعها عندما انا في الطريق الى أي مكان . المغنية المفضلية هي....
السمع الى موسيقى يجعلني سعيدة و مزاج حيدا. و أبيضا احب ان اسمع الموسيقى حين في صلة الالعاب الرياضية .

i love listening to music. I listen to it when I am on the way to any place. My favourite singer is.... (I forgot to put a name lol).
Listening to music makes me happy and puts me in a good mood. And also I love listening to music when I am in the gym.

Question: what is the difference between using
    حين
    عندما
    لما

God the English language is so simple and boring lol. Arabic language is so rich and has many words. My Quran teacher once told me she thinks anyone can learn English in a few weeks lol I think she was right. Arabic language is so rich and strong.

Question: what is the difference between using
    حين
    عندما
    لما
hmmm, first lamma لما is in dialects more.. I don't think it's used in Fuss7a ..

    عندما and حين and حينما
عندما is like when ..used for short period of time..
حينما is like while.. used for long duration of doing a verb..

    I mean .. here some examples within sentences ;

عندما أكون في البيت أشاهد التلفاز
When I'm at home, I watch tv

    حينما أشاهد التلفاز أقرأ الصحيفة
While watching tv, I read the newspaper
